10th Reborn!

Welcome to 10th edition 40k. The Beta is over now and with the first Codex launch we might have a real game. All it took was 14 weeks and the blood sacrifice of the Custodes to make it happen.

Joking aside I hope you all are doing well. This is the first weekend where all the events below used the new points at least. I am excited to see where things go over the next couple of weeks as the shake up has been big. 10th feels really exciting again.

Tyranid Detachments should be up next week on the Datatable. The majority of lists here for Nids still showed Invasion Fleet FYI

Takeaways:

Aeldari at 57% is a beautiful thing. Hopefully they go lower or at least stay there. For the first time this edition they were not the most played faction and fell to second place. Winning a small GT but still having 11of their 38(29%) players going X-0/X-1. I wonder if part of their fall is because some top players saw/thought that they could win GTs with other factions now and thus have moved on.

Drukhari win the biggest event of the weekend. With so few numbers their win rate was only 47% but they might have real play. Especially compared to where they were.

World Eaters have the second best win rate of the weekend at 63%. With only 7 players this could be an outlier but its good to see two of them place well also. I have read that World Eaters had an amazing go first win rate pre Dateslate and so I checked what it was here. It was 63% for going Frist(10/16) or Second(12/19) so it didn’t seem to matter this weekend.

Tau with a real glow up. Winning two events and having a strong win rate of 55%

Votann won an event! Few in numbers they also did much better with a 48% win rate and 2 of their lists placing.

Custodes are by far the worst preforming faction of the weekend. With a win rate of 38%, in fact the only faction with a win rate in the 30s. I played my custodes all of 9th and now they seem to not be tough enough to deal with or plentifully enough to absorbed all this shooting. Back to the Guard Brothers! 😉

Grey Knights with a middle of the pack win rate of 49% and 4 top placings, another trash pile faction to top of the pile army.

Sisters, best army in the game… ok I don’t really think that but seeing their 5 players out there doing work is nice and having 3 of them place X-1 is how you get a 64% win rate.

Necrons were the most played faction of the weekend with the second worst win rate of weekend at a near healthy 44% but only 4 of their players going X-0/X-1. They did win an event which is nice to see.

Guard win the smallest event of the weekend and had a 47% win rate.

I could go over every faction as so much has changed (not you SM) but there is to much. What do you notice? It seems GW might have did it. Welcome to 10th!

Several of the marine chapters are shown as going x-0/ x-1 in total but Index and Gladius Task Force for the same non codex chapters don’t add up the that total.
